2016 Veterans Day OPEN Tournament!
The One World Martial Arts Federation, a 501c non-profit, is hosting it’s second annual Veterans Day OPEN Martial Arts tournament for competitors with physical challenges, special needs, and disabilities! All special needs / physically challenged competitors from any system or style are welcome and invited to come compete!
Hosted by One World Karate, the tournament will be a day of celebration and sportsmanship for all competitors.
Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and 4th-last place will receive a participation ribbon.
WHERE: The tournament will be at the Leander, Texas PAC
WHEN: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH, 2016 2-6 PM.
There will be divisions based upon 1. age, 2. belt level, and 3. accommodations such as wheelchairs, walkers, or crutches.
The competitor will be placed in their groupings on the day of the tournament, but in general, the tournament will progress from the youngest, lowest belt levels up to the oldest, highest belt levels throughout the tournament day.
Waivers will be supplied and required to be completed on the day of the tournament at check in.
Check in is from 1:30-2:00PM. Late competitors run the risk of not being allowed to compete.
Fees will go to pay for a location that can fit everyone comfortably and trophies.
Any remaining money goes to our non-profit organization, One World Martial Arts Federation, a 501-c Non-Profit. Those funds will help pay to educate other schools and instructors to be able to offer programs like ours, create scholarships for parents facing hardships due to their child’s special needs, and many other important projects!
